You Keep Having the Same Conversation. But Nothing Changes

You’ve had the arguments. You know the pattern. No matter how calm you try to be or how clearly you explain yourself, the conversation still falls apart.

This isn’t about being bad at relationships or not loving each other enough. It’s about not having a roadmap for conversations like these—because no one ever gave you one.

Gottman Method couples therapy gives you concrete, research-based tools to stop fighting, communicate better, and feel more connected—even when you disagree.

Couples Therapy Built for Real Change

Many couples come to us thinking, “We’ve already talked about all of this—why would therapy be any different?”

They’ve talked it out on their own—or even tried couples therapy before. Our work looks different.

Instead of rehashing old fights, we focus on what’s happening between you in real time. When conversations start to escalate or shut down, we pause, slow things down, and practice specific tools in the moment—so you know what to do differently when it happens at home.

Sessions are structured and focused, with a clear sense of what to work on and how to work on it—because you’re not just here to talk. You’re here to change.

Here’s What You Can Expect From Great Couples Therapy

  • The same old fights don’t take over anymore—so you can actually talk and move on.

  • You feel like partners again, not roommates just getting through the week.

  • Trust starts to rebuild, and it finally feels safe to open up.

  • You laugh more, touch more, and actually want to spend time together.

  • Home feels calmer. Conversations feel easier. You both feel like yourselves again.

Couples Therapy Is Our Specialty

Our work is guided by the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to couples therapy. All clinicians in our practice are trained in this method and use it as the foundation for how sessions are run.

For couples, this means therapy is focused and purposeful. Sessions are structured around what actually helps relationships improve—how communication unfolds, how conflict is handled, and how trust and connection are rebuilt over time.

In sessions, we focus on:

  • Pausing and slowing conversations before they spiral

  • Working with what’s happening in the moment, not replaying past fights

  • Practicing new responses in session that carry into real life

  • Breaking the patterns that keep arguments repeating

  • Reducing both the intensity of conflict and the emotional fallout afterward

This work isn’t about taking sides or deciding who’s right. It’s about building a stronger, more resilient relationship.

A Note About Insurance

We’re a private-pay practice, which means we do not accept or bill insurance at this time.

However, you may still be eligible for reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits, depending on your specific plan, the services you receive, and other individual factors. We’re happy to talk more about this during your consultation, and you can also contact your insurance provider to ask what’s covered.

You’re welcome to use an HSA, FSA, or HRA to pay for sessions if your plan allows. And if you choose to seek reimbursement, we’ll gladly provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) upon request.
